The Housing Authority of the County of Alameda (HACA), as the recipient of federal financial assistance, is required to take reasonable steps to ensure meaningful access to its programs and activities by Limited English Proficient (LEP) persons.  LEP persons are defined as persons who do not speak English as their primary langauge and who have a limited ability to read, write, speak or understand English and may be entitled to a particular type of service, benefit, or encounter.

HACA provides written translations of vital documents into Cantonese, Farsi, Spanish and Vietnamese, as HACA’s budget allows.  HACA also provides free oral interpreter services for LEP persons upon request to conduct housing authority buisness.

For basic information about HACA's programs and services, as well as, instructions on how to receive further assistance with interpretation in these languages, please call:

Spanish: (510) 538-8876 PRESS #6
Farsi: (510) 538-8876 PRESS #7
Vietnamese: (510) 538-8876 PRESS #8

For assistance in other languages, you may contact your Housing Specialist or visit our office.  Alternatively, you may downloand and email an "I Speak" form to HACA Information or fax it to (510) 727-8554.  Please be sure to include your telephone number. One of our staff will contact you.
