Rental Listings

ATTENTION:  LANDLORDS AND TENANTS

New FREE Rental Listings Directory

HACA has launched a new FREE Web Rental Listings Directory with powerful features for owners and tenants.  Landlords get great classified listings, readily viewable by HACA’s Section 8 tenants.  Owners can add, edit and maintain their own property information any time of day or night over the Internet.  Tenants can search listings 24 hours a day from anywhere with internet access.  (See important "note" below in framed box.)

Property Owners: Please read this document (Rental Listing Instructions) regarding listing your property.

Tenants

View listings anytime, anyplace

Search listings 24 hours a day from anywhere with internet access.  Just point your browser HERE to see units listed by owners interested in participating in HACA’s Section 8 program.   All listed units are in localities where HACA can sign Section 8 contracts.

Search for features important to you

Limit your search to what you're looking for by specifying maximum price, number of bedrooms, number of baths, and city.

Let your fingers do the walking

When you see a unit that you’re interested in, contact an owner immediately by phone (during normal business hours) or email.  You can also save a unit in your “Favorites” tab if you want to look at the listing again later on.

Get Started

Go HERE to register so you can start looking at units.  Your registration information can’t be seen by owners or the public.  It’s only used to make sure that only legitimate tenants are using the system.

Note:   HACA's Rental Listings Directory is provided as a free service to landlords and tenants to facilitate the leasing of rental units under the Section 8 program. Properties on this directory have not been pre-approved by HACA.  The asking rents listed by landlords may be higher than HACA limits.  HACA will only approve rents that are not more than rents for similar units in the same general area or neighborhood.  Units must also meet HACA's Housing Quality Standards.

Property Owners

Enter property & unit information one-time only

HACA’s new directory, located HERE, is powered by RLTVentures, a leading provider of rental listings solutions.  Using the Directory’s Landlord Center, landlords create their own profile containing their contact information.   (Your profile is NOT viewable by the public and is only used to ensure that legitimate owners are using the system.)

Next, owners add their property and unit listings—one-time only.  As a result, owners can readily display already entered units as they become available by simply changing the display option from “inactive” (not viewable) to “active” (viewable).  Owners are provided space to provide a description of the property and unit, including pictures and floor plans.

24-Hour Access

Tenants can search for units 24 hours a day from anywhere with internet access.  Tenants are able to search on various attributes (for example, city, zip, price, number of baths, availability of laundry facilities, proximity to public transportation, etc.).  When searchers see a unit that they’re interested in, they can contact an owner immediately by phone or email or save it to their “Favorites” tab for future reference

Get Started

Go HERE to create a profile and to begin entering your property.  You must enter all information yourself from any computer with internet access.  See the Directory’s FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) if you have questions or send an email to LandlordCenter@haca.net.

New listings will appear on database within 2 business days of when you enter them.  (After you first list your property, the status will say "Pending" until the listing has been reviewed by HACA staff.  We’ll then change the status to "Viewable".

“Hiding” a unit when it’s not available

You never have to remove a property or unit
from HACA’s Directory.  If a property or unit isn’t available, just change its Status to "Inactive” (Not Viewable).  It won’t display when a tenant does a search until you change it back to “Active” (Viewable).  If you have multiple units at the same property, change the Status to “Active” (Viewable) for just the available ones.

Units remain “Active” (Viewable) for 30 days, then the status automatically changes to "Not Viewable".  If the unit is still available after 30 days, just log in to the Directory and change the status back to "Viewable".
