On November 29, 1977, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance #77-94  and established the Housing  Authority of the County of Alameda (“HACA”) Housing Commission.   The HACA Housing Commission has 12 members: one from each of the nine cities HACA serves, one representing the unincorporated county area and two HACA tenants.    There is only one standing committee, a four-member Personnel Committee, and it meets as needed, generally just prior to the Commission meeting.

The Housing Commission meets once a month on the second Wednesday of each month at the HACA offices in Hayward.
