Announcement and Public Notice
The Housing Authority of the County of Alameda (HACA) announces the availability of a limited number of Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs) awarded through the American Recovery Plan Act of 2021
Who may be Eligible? The EHVs are to assist individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness; at risk of experiencing homelessness; fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking; or were recently homeless and for whom providing rental assistance will prevent the family’s homelessness or having high risk of housing instability.
How can I apply? The EHVs are available through a direct referral process by the Alameda County Coordinated Entry System (CES). HACA is not taking direct applications. Please be aware that eligibility does not guarantee admission as there are a very limited number of resources available. If you are interested in applying for these vouchers or know of someone who may be eligible, please call 211 and ask for the Coordinated Entry System to receive an assessment.
When will vouchers be issued? If you are referred by the CES after receiving an assessment, HACA will contact you to schedule an appointment and gather information needed to complete the eligibility process. Estimated dates are Summer 2021.
