Applying For Housing

The Alameda County Shelter Plus Care (S+C) Program is now accepting applications until June 30, 2015 for eligible homeless individuals and families who qualify.  S+C is a permanent supportive housing program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Applications may only be submitted by designated S+C Outreach Agencies.  If you need contact information for S+C Outreach Agencies, please call Eden Information and Referral line by dialing 2-1-1 from any 510 area code or dial 1-888-886-9660.  Do NOT call HACA.  For more information, download the flyer below.

HACA is NOT accepting applications for Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers at this time.  HACA anticipates opening the Wait List for the Voucher program later this year. When we do, we will place a notice on the home page of this site.

Your place on the wait list can go up or down as families’ preferences change. If you are currently on HACA’s Wait List, click HERE for answers to questions you may have or to update the information on your application.

See also Other Housing Resources.

HACA does not provide emergency housing. If you need emergency housing assistance, or need information about any health or human services provider in Alameda county, contact Eden Information & Referral.
